The Yale men’s hockey team is bringing back the NCAA tournament trophy after its decisive 4–0 win over Quinnipiac in Pittsburgh. Yale Athetics invites the community to celebrate the 2012-2013 NCAA champions on Monday, April 15 at Ingalls Rink.

Professor Dierickx obtained his PhD in Business Economics, MBA as well as law degree from Harvard. He is a former Professor of Negotiation at INSEAD and the Moscow School of Management (Skolkovo). He is currently senior partner at D&AC Consulting, offering a wide range of negotiation support services.

Starting Friday evening with a debate about the Arab Spring, and closing Saturday evening with the film “Tall as a Baobab Tree” directed by Dartmouth grad Jeremy Teicher. After the film, Ivy Circle Chairperson Hollis Kurman will lead a discussion with Teicher and Human Right Watch Netherlands Director Anna Timmerman.
A possible Ivy Circle borrel is under consideration for Saturday evening, but the event should be of interest to all. (Tickets required, available online.)

For the fourth year running, Amsterdam joins in for the Feb Club Emeritus experience. Yalies from all classes and schools are welcome, whether they be living in the land of windmills and tulips or just passing through. We’ll be back at the Café Luxembourg (www.luxembourg.nl) on the easy to reach Spui in Central Amsterdam, starting at 7 pm. So join us for general merriment and gezelligheid* in “One of the world’s great cafés” (NYT) in one of the world’s great party cities. You can order dinner if you’d like and, while there’ll be no Mory’s cup, there’s plenty of choice at the bar.
Trams 1, 2 from Amsterdam Centraal and Tram 5 from either Centraal or Zuid stop right outside the door at the Spui stop. And trams 4, 9, 14, 16, 24 and 25 stop at the other Spui stop a few hundred meters away on the Rokin.

The Holland Festival “La Création du Monde”, Dutch Premier Show The Muziektheater in Amsterdam | Thursday, 14 JuneThe Ivy Circle is offering discounted tickets to the Dutch premier of La Création du Monde, a new piece based on the short ballet of the same title, scored by Darius Milhaud and written by Blaise Cendrars, which was performed in Paris in 1922 and 1923. The original piece was presented as a ‘negro-cubist fantasy’ and recounts the creation of the world according to African mythologies. The Ivy Circle is pleased to offer discounted tickets at €25 (normally €40) as well as the chance to have drinks and meet the artists afterwards. Festival Classique in Den Haag Hofvijver Concert “Olympique” and Drinks | Saturday, 16 JuneThe outdoor concert on Saturday, 16 June entitled “Olympique” (music, architecture and painting were an official part of modern Olympic competition until the 1952 Helsinki games) will features gymnasts Yuri van Gelder and Jeffrey Wammes swinging with the Residentie Orkest.
